Chelsea are reportedly set to make Victor Osimhen their primary target in the January transfer window which could spell the end of Nicholas Jackson at the club
Chelsea are reportedly set to make Victor Osimhen their primary transfer target when they enter the market for a striker in the January transfer window.
The Telegraph reports that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to add a centre-forward to his squad in future windows having grown frustrated with his current option Nicholas Jackson.
Italian sources expect Osimhen to be open to a move to Stamford Bridge but negotiating with Napoli mid-season to sign their top scorer will most likely prove difficult even by Aurelio De Laurentiis' standards.

'Come to Chelsea' — Why Mikel Obi's statement to Victor Osimhen is bad advice
Super Eagles and Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel has advised Victor Osimhen to join the London club but here is why that could be bad for the Napoli man.
Victor Osimhen could be heading to Chelsea
Osimhen is expected to have an asking price of more than £100 million and could break the Premier League record of £106.8 million paid by Chelsea for Enzo Fernandez who was signed in January 2023.
The 24-year-old is currently halfway through the fourth year of his five-year contract at Napoli and De Laurentiis would know that the longer he stays at the club without signing a new deal, the more his value drops.
At the very least, Napoli would want to recoup the €70 million they paid to Lille to sign Osimhen in 2020 which means the player cannot be allowed to enter the last year of his contract in a bid to protect his value.
