The Brewers created a flurry of chances but could not make them count as they were held to a draw by Kariobangi Sharks in Ruaraka.
Tusker dropped their first points of the season after settling for a 1-1 draw against an enterprising Kariobangi Sharks in an FKFPL match played at the Ruaraka Grounds on Saturday afternoon.
The Brewers had the chance to break the deadlock in the 10th minute when Joseph Mwangi teed up John Byakuyama at the edge of the box, but the Ugandan midfielder shot it just wide.
In the 23rd minute, Boniface Onyango floated a brilliant corner towards Fabian Adikiny, who glanced it nicely but it flew inches over the bar.

The game then became a damp squib with no side creating inroads in the other side’s half, but in the 40th minute, defender Deogracious Ojok had a chance with a shot from the edge of the box which sailed wide.
Just before halftime, Byamukama floated a cross towards Ojok, but his attempt sailed way over the bar.
Tusker continued to pile on the pressure right after the break, testing Sharks keeper Brian Jairo in the early moments of the second half from a corner kick, which forced the custodian into producing an excellent save.

In the 52nd minute, Tusker would be made to pay for their profligacy as Sharks took the lead through Keith Imbali against the run of play after Tusker needlessly turned the ball over when attempting to build up from the back, shushing the crowd at Ruaraka.
This prompted Robert Matano to make three quick changes, subbing on Levin Odhiambo for Boniface Onyango, Deogracious Ojok for Eric Kapaito, and Eric Zakayo for John Byamukama.
Levin nearly restored parity moments afterwards when he attempted a left-footed shot towards Jairo which the keeper could not handle, but he was quick to claim the ball back before Kapaito could take advantage of the rebound.
Tusker continued to pile on the pressure, and in the 78th minute, they finally equalised after Levin dribbled down the left flank before his resultant cross forced Sharks into scoring an own goal. The game was now on.
The Brewers would have gone ahead in the 87th minute when Brian Bwire hit a well-timed drop ball onto the path of substitute John Njuguna, but the 25-year-old fluffed his lines by hitting the ball straight at Jairo.
In the end, both sides had to settle for the 1-1 draw.
