Posta Rangers have been held to a 0-0 draw by struggling Tusker to keep them second in the league on 26 points.
12-time FKFPL champions Tusker were held to an unspectacular 0-0 draw by title-hunting Posta Rangers in an FKFPL encounter played at the Ruaraka Grounds on Sunday afternoon.
After what was a tight first thirty minutes, Tusker finally started finding their groove by pressing high up and sustaining pressure inside Posta’s half.
Shiwa Shapan had a save attempted fro Chris Erambo’s cross in the 30th minute, opening a series of opportunities that required the Rangers defence to be on its toes.

FKFPL: Kakamega Homeboyz spank Shabana to stay within touching distance to Gor Mahia
Kakamega Homeboyz secured a victory over Shabana FC, positioning themselves near the top of the league standings in an exciting match.
Stewart Omondi then had an effort of his own saved from a wayward cum-decent cross by Mike Oduor down the right flank, which was deflected away for a corner kick.
Moments later, Tusker, who had seemingly decided to play for setpieces, saw Omondi’s effort parried away by Posta keeper Kevin Opiyo.

The second half started fairly slower with no team really managing to create inroads in the other’s half.
There was a moment of controversy yet again in the 65th minute when a Posta Rangers player appeared to handle the ball, prompting Tusker players and fans to get incandescent.

FKFPL Nairobi City Stars coach Nicolas Muyoti hails defensive resurgence after victory over Bandari
The Simba Wa Nairobi have won four of their last league matches, which puts them in a good place to achieve their targets of securing a top-half finish.
Brewers boss Robert Matano found himself getting booked for his actions.
In the 70th minute, Tusker found themselves with a good chance to go ahead when Brian Odhiambo handled the ball just outside the area, but the resultant freekick by Omondi hit the wall
They had yet another chance that was not taken from another freekick moments later. This prompted Robert Matano into making changes, bringing on James Kibande and Ibrahim Joshua in efforts to try and break the deadlock.
Kibande stretched play on a couple of occasions and his introduction nearly led to a goal by Chris Erambo when he attempted the half’s first shot on target.
However, a goal never seemed to be on the cards for either team and in the end, they had to settle for the point.
