The defender will be unavailable for the Ulinzi Stars clash after the devastating news of his father's death
Tusker defender David Sakari is on compassionate leave following the death of his father on Friday.
The Brewers made the announcement via a short statement on Friday, confirming that the Mathare-North-born player had been given time off to be with his family.
Sakari's loss comes three months after striker Lawrence Luvanda lost a family member and missed several matches in February.
In Sakari's absence, Robert Matano will bring in Jimmy Mbugua or Kevin Monyi for the next few games, starting with the FKF clash against Ulinzi Stars at Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Mbugua has been warming the bench since March 29, when he started the match against Bidco United when Sakari was away on international duty.
In that match, the tough-tackling Mbugua threw his weight around in attack whenever Tusker swarmed forward, and he also stopped the hosts in their tracks when they pushed forward.
Sakari has been at Tusker since September 2021, when he joined from Kariobangi Sharks, having previously turned for Kakamega Homeboyz.
His marauding and energetic runs down the right flank had earned him praise from local coaches as his displays have seen him cement his position in the national team.
Tusker are currently on top of the standings with 64 points from 30 matches, and they will next face second-placed Gor Mahia on May 28.
