The goalkeeper is looking for new opportunities elsewhere after spending most of his time at Tusker on the bench
Tusker custodian Michael Wanjala will leave the club after four seasons plying his trade for the Robert Matano-led outfit.

FKFPL Jackson Macharia pens heartfelt Tusker farewell after seven-year stint
The Brewers part ways with a legend after seven years and nine months of dedicated service.
Wanjala has spent a majority of his career at Tusker on the bench, necessitating the need to seek greener pastures in order to establish himself as a first-choice goalkeeper elsewhere.
He arrived just before the 2019-20 season from Bungoma Superstars, before playing a part in helping the club clinch the title in the 2020-21 season.
However, the season afterwards, he moved down the pecking order following the arrival of Harambee Stars goalkeeper Brian Bwire and the experienced Patrick Matasi who both enjoyed the lion’s share of playing time.

FOOTBALL Tusker release Tanzanian defender as clear out begins ahead of new arrivals
The Brewers have opted against extending the stay of the center-back who had fallen out of favour in Robert Matano's side.
Furthermore, the presence of Rwandese international Emery Mvuyekure, who was the first-choice in the past term, made matters even more complicated for Wanjala.
Wanjala was making it known to different media houses over the years that it was difficult for his game to scale to the next level as long as he was mostly consigned to the bench and in 2021, he wanted to amicably cut ties with the club and find a new home.
Reports indicate that AFC Leopards are interested in signing him, and should this happen, he will have to fight with the current number one, Levis Opiyo, who kept 15 clean sheets last season.
Wanjala will surely be seeking a move to a side that will guarantee him regular playing time.
