The draw leaves KCCA in the same place, second on the log and on 45 points, one behind leaders Villa who face Maroons on Wednesday.
KCCA FC fluffed the opportunity to leapfrog SC Villa to go top of the Startimes Uganda Premier League following a dramatic 2-2 home draw with relegation-threatened Onduparaka at Lugogo Tuesday evening.
Two late goals from Emmanuel Oketch cancelled out Moses Waiswa and Allan Okello's goals to deny KCCA their third straight win under interim manager Jackson Mayanja.
The Kasasiro Boys started the day second on the log and two points behind Villa, who do not play until Wednesday.
Mayanja's side dominated proceedings in the first half but went into the halftime break with nothing to show for the amount of possession.
Said Mayanja thought he had given the hosts the lead in the 10th minute, but his goal was ruled out for offside.
Moses Waiswa, Mayanja and Allan Okello saw a lot of the ball, but clear-cut chances were few and far between.
Muhammad Shaban came close after good interplay from the KCCA midfield gave him a look on goal, but it was the visitors who almost opened the scoring when Geoffrey Wasswa lost possession to leave the hosts exposed.

UPL All focus on Onduparaka as KCCA start crucial week in UPL title race
In the last 12 games between both sides, KCCA have won nine, while Onduparaka can only boast of one win that came in their first season in the top flight.
The resultant counterattack from the visitors had team captain Rashid Yakin through on goal but his tame shot, with only the keeper to beat was well handled by Benjamin Ochan.
Waiswa opened the scoring with a well-taken freekick after Mayanja had been brought down from just outside the box.
Nathan Oloro almost equalized immediately, but his free kick was pushed over the bar by Ochan.
And when Okello curled in the second, the home side looked home and dry.
