Premier League legend Teddy Sheringham has suggested the perfect replacement for Gareth Southgate after EURO 2024.

Teddy Sheringham has emphatically endorsed Pep Guardiola as the ideal successor to Gareth Southgate, urging the Football Association to "break the bank" to secure the Manchester City manager's services.

With Southgate's future uncertain as England take on Spain in the EURO 2024 final on Sunday, Sheringham believes Guardiola is the standout candidate to revolutionize the Three Lions' playing style, which has been criticized for being too conservative.

"He would probably rather manage Spain, but if you have all the money in the world – like the FA have – then I would say break the bank and get Guardiola!"

Guardiola has one year left on his contract with Manchester City and there are rumours that this could be his last season in charge of the Etihad club.

He has won numerous trophies in England, including a record-breaking 4 straight league titles.
