FUFA has banned referee George Nkurunziza for ten years after finding him guilty of fixing matches.
"The FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee analysed and evaluated the evidence on file, and the defence put forward by Mr Lwesibawa Godfrey found that he was involved in influencing the results of matches for betting purposes in violation of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code," the statement from FUFA reads.
Verdict
Lwesibawa was, therefore, found guilty of violating Articles 41, 24(3), and 42 of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code regarding match manipulation and subsequent failure to report the vice.

CAF has not mentioned the specific case they are investigating, but the development comes two months after he was accused of match-fixing.
"Mr. Lwesibawa Godfrey is hereby banned from taking part in any kind of football-related activity at the national level (administrative, sports or any other) for a period of five (5) years, as of notification of this decision," the committee delivered the verdict.
The former Express, SC Villa and Uganda Cranes midfielder becomes the fourth culprit of a three-month investigation after referee George Nkurunziza and Gaddafi FC players Yaya Mahad Kakooza and Andrew Waiswa.
Nkurunziza was handed a ten-year ban for influencing a match, while the two players each earned half the sentence
