Khalifa has summoned three players who were part of the Crested Cranes team that eliminated Rwanda from the first round of the Olympic 2024 qualifiers on Sunday.
Uganda Under-18 Women’s national team coach Ayub Khalifa has summoned a squad of 25 players for the CECAFA Women’s Under-18 tournament due for July 25th to August 8th July in Tanzania.
The tournament had initially been scheduled for June 29th to July 11th in Kenya but was pushed due to a delay in funding.
Khalifa has summoned three players who were part of the Crested Cranes team that eliminated Rwanda from the first round of the Olympic 2024 qualifiers on Sunday.
They include the team’s captain Shakirah Nyinagahirwa who started in Kigali as well as Catherine Nagadya and Hadija Nandago.
The team is expected to enter camp at the Cranes paradise hotel on Tuesday.
Seven nations, including the hosts Tanzania, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, and Zanzibar, are expected to take part.
