The 13 club presidents, chairpersons and chief executive officers that were present at the 10th FUFA Super League Limited a week ago reminded FUFA of the promise they made last year.

The Uganda Premier League chairpersons and owners have reminded FUFA of their promise to take them for benchmarking to one of the top leagues on the continent.

The 13 club presidents, chairpersons and chief executive officers that were present at the 10th FUFA Super League Limited a week ago reminded FUFA of the promise they made last year.

“We need to go and learn from the best if we really want to build this brand to the levels we desire,” FSLL chairman Arinaitwe Rugyendo reminded FUFA on behalf of the clubs.

Six months

FUFA 3rd vice president Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi who represents the clubs, promised that she would push FUFA to fulfill the promise within six months.

“It was promised, and we acknowledge the need for an international exposure for the chairpersons of the club to a country at the status of Morocco,” Nakiwala interjected.

“This should not exceed the next six months so that they can be exposed where they can cut and paste so that when we blame them, we should refer to the exposure we gave them.”

The Moroccan Botola 1 league is currently ranked the best on the continent by CAF’s 5-year ranking system.

Egypt, Algeria, South Africa, Tunisia and neighbours Tanzania follow in that order, while Uganda skipped seven places from 26th last season to 19th this year.
