SCHOOL GAMES Uganda retain East Africa Schools title, to host 2024 edition

The 20th edition games were held from August 17th to 27th in Huye District in Rwanda.

Ugandan representatives at the 2023 Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association ended the tournaments on a high after winning the overall team gold.

The 20th edition games were held from August 17th to 27th in Huye District in Rwanda.

Ugandan schools won 17 gold medals, ten silver and nine bronze to rake up a total of 36 medals.

St. Mary’s Kitende were arguably Uganda’s best school sweeping four gold medals in the major sports.

Kitende won gold in boys’ soccer, netball, and girls’ basketball 3x3 and 5x5.

The organisers chose Uganda and Kenya to host the next editions in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
