It was the forward's second goal in Rayon Sport colours, having scored in the Rwanda Super Cup as he guided his side to a 3-0 win over rivals APR FC.
'Gikundiro' conceded a penalty in the 90th minute but was able to see out the game and claim maximum points.
Goalkeeper Simon Tamale continues to wait for his debut, having missed out on Rayon Sport's second game and the Super Cup win against APR FC.
The seven-time Rwanda Premier League champions are expected to feature in the CAF Confederation Cup this season.
