Hugely versed Ugandan female referee Shamirah Nabadda has been selected to officiate football matches at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Nabadda is among the 89 match officials selected by FIFA including 21 referees, 42 assistant referees, 20 video officials and six support referees.
The Ugandan, who will be among six support referees, is also one of the four female match officials from Africa.
The other three include Moroccans Bouchra Karboubi, Jermoumi Fatiha along with Zambian Diana Chikotesha.
Previously, Nabadda has officiated at the 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations and the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2023.
