Gift Fred

The Uganda Cranes international finally debuted for Young Africans on Saturday during his side’s 5-1 CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round win against Djibouti ASAS. Fred had only previously featured for the side in a club international friendly.

Shafik Kagimu

In the Macedonian First Football League, the former URA FC creative gem hit the ground running with his new side, FC Rabotnicki. Kagimu scored in the 28th minute; however, his side lost 2-1, conceding two late goals in the second half against Shkendija.

Ismael Watenga

Watenga is now on loan at Golden Arrows.

The Uganda Cranes shot-stopper, who is now on loan at Golden Arrows from Mamelodi Sundowns, kept goal for Arrows as they picked up their first win of the season, edging Polokwane City 3-2.

The former Express FC and Gaddafi midfielder made his second appearance for his new side, Tusker FC, in Kenya. The brewers claimed maximum points away to Bandari FC in the Kenya Premier League.

The Ugandan duo were in action for Rayon Sport against Gorilla FC in the Rwanda Premier League but were unable to guide the side to a win as both sides settled for a goalless draw.

Kasule Owen Baba and Frank Ssebuufu

The former Wakiso Giants duo were in action against Chicago Fire in the MLS NEXTPRO league. Owen Baba scored a brace, taking his goal tally to 15 in the campaign, while Ssebuufu scored once in the 5-3 win as they secured a ticket in the playoffs.

Taddeo Lwanga

The combative holding midfielder was pivotal in guiding his APR FC side to the penultimate CAF Champions League round as they eliminated Somalia’s Gaaddidka FC 3-1 on aggregate.

Lwanga will be expected to lead the Lions again on Monday in the Rwanda Premier League against Police FC.

Rogers Mugisha

The U-20 midfielder was unveiled on Saturday at Gor Mahia and made the bench as the record Kenyan giants shared spoils with SOFAPAKA FC. Compatriot Patrick Kaddu didn’t make the 18-man squad.
