Ssekisambu was the team’s top scorer with 10 goals, but these were not enough to give Kiyovu the league title.
After failing to land the 2022/23 Rwanda Premier League title, Kiyovu Sports Club is- cleaning the house in preparation for the next season.
The Rwanda Premier League giants have started by announcing several departures in various departments.
Ugandan forward Erisa Ssekisambu is among those leaving the team that came close to winning the title but stumbled down the stretch to see it slip away.
The message posted to Kiyovu’s social media handles was short and precise: “FAREWELL #SSEKISAMBU, THANK YOU.”
Ssekisambu joined Kiyovu as a free agent after leaving KCCA FC and made his impact felt straight away.
