The Soldiers have secured their third consecutive FKF Women's Cup title against Kibera Soccer Ladies with strategic gameplay and early dominance.

Ulinzi Starlets have etched their name in history by securing a third consecutive FKF Women's Cup title after overcoming Kibera Soccer Ladies with a 2-1 victory at the Police Sacco Grounds.

This triumph marks a hat trick of wins for the Starlets a feat made even more remarkable by the cancellation of the 2022 edition due to a FIFA suspension.

The match kicked off with Ulinzi demonstrating why they were the favorites as captain Sheryl Angachi quickly found the net in the fourth minute.

The Harambee Starlets forward's powerful strike from inside the box set the tone for what was initially a one-sided affair.

Ulinzi's dominance continued, and they should have increased their lead shortly after but were denied by near misses, including Linda Kihara’s shocking miss from close range.

Despite their early misses, Ulinzi doubled their lead before the break when Linda Kihara redeemed herself by scoring from a tight angle inside the penalty area, giving her team a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime.

The second half saw a transformed Kibera take the field with renewed vigor and determination.

The Slum Girls' efforts paid off when star player Maximila Robi pulled one back.

Robi’s goal came from a brilliantly executed through ball which she calmly slotted past the Ulinzi goalkeeper sparking hopes of a comeback.

In the closing stages Kibera pressed hard for an equalizer putting Ulinzi under intense pressure.

However, Ulinzi's defense held firm repelling Kibera's advances and securing the victory as the final whistle blew.
