2. Uganda Martyrs University- Nkozi
The defending champions have embarked on their championship defense in impeccable form, registering two wins in Group A.
Successes against Bugema University and the University of Nkozi have placed them firmly in control of their group, making them favorites to progress as group winners. Ssentongo Akbar has been the standout player, netting three goals in the season's first two games.
3. St. Lawrence University

Isaac Ssenyuja’s brace propelled his team to Sunday's victory, revitalizing their campaign. The 2022 East African University champions are anticipated to advance from Group A alongside Uganda Martyrs University.
