Ten weeks in, Obua is finally seeing improvements with the way the team is fast applying his style and standards.

Adopting a new style of play was always going to take time for URA FC players with head coach David Obua.

The Uganda Cranes legend has repeatedly preached patience as he rubs the new attractive attacking tiki-taka football to the Tax Collectors.

Ten weeks in, Obua is finally seeing improvements with the way the team is fast applying his style and standards.

"We're continuing our processes, I feel confident that the players are learning to quick," Obua told the club media.

"It's easier to coach now; the boys know what we want, the processes, and there's improvements everywhere."

In his nine matches in charge, Obua has endured indifferent results, winning, drawing and suffering defeat on three occasions apiece.

Following the completion of the first Round of the Uganda Premier League, URA sit eighth with 21 points in 15 matches.

Meanwhile, the Taxmen were drawn against Kumi United in the Round of 64 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup, and Obua won't take a thing for granted.

"It's a trophy that all the clubs want to compete for, and the beauty about it is that it gives other teams to come and compete."

"It's not a given that we're supposed to win, but of course, we encourage the players to be prepared because you have to play well to win."

"You have to deserve to win. I'm not going to go to any church and pray for a win. The boys know how we function: You have to work tirelessly to deserve a point or a win," he added.

"So, we have to go there and work tirelessly to win. People go there and take things like this for granted, but I'm not taking it for granted. We shall work hard and push Kumi so that we win."

Last season, URA were stunned and dumped at the Round of 64 by Pentecostal University.
