Izquierdo's career began at Cerro in 2018, and he played for Peñarol and Montevideo Wanderers before returning to Nacional. He was a key player for Nacional, contributing to their Uruguayan league title win in 2023.
Izquierdo moved abroad for the first time in February 2021, joining Atlético San Luis in Liga MX. After only four appearances and a confrontation with fans in April, he returned to the Wanderers in August.
