Mykhailo Mudryk is not letting accusations of steroid use stop him from having some fun
Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk, currently serving a provisional suspension for a positive drug test, has been spotted ringside at the highly anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia.
The Ukrainian star’s presence at the heavyweight title clash comes amidst his ongoing doping controversy and Chelsea’s upcoming Premier League match against Everton.
Mudryk embroiled in doping controversy
Mudryk was provisionally suspended after testing positive for meldonium, a banned substance. The player expressed shock at the results, firmly denying any intentional wrongdoing.
On Instagram, Mudryk said, “I have never knowingly used any banned substances or broken any rules... I remain hopeful I will be back on the pitch soon.”
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca also voiced his support for the player, stating, “We support and trust Misha. We are all saddened by this situation, but we stand by him as the process unfolds.”
While unavailable for Chelsea’s clash with Everton, Mudryk’s doping case remains under investigation, with the player and his team working to understand the circumstances of the failed test.

Despite the suspension, Mudryk has not remained out of the spotlight. The Ukrainian winger was photographed in Riyadh ahead of Usyk’s showdown with Tyson Fury, supporting his compatriot in one of the biggest boxing events of the year.
TalkSPORT and fans in Riyadh shared images of Mudryk seated among other high-profile attendees, including Jason Statham, Naseem Hameed, and Francis Ngannou.
While Chelsea fans remain concerned about his absence from the pitch, Mudryk saw fit to support another famous Ukrainian sports figure in Usyk.
For now, Mudryk’s return to competitive football remains uncertain as the doping inquiry continues, but his presence at the fight is a defiant public stance during a challenging period in his career.
