Vandrezzer started their journey in the Nigeria National League (NNL) with an away victory in Rivers State.
The Lions recorded an emphatic 3-1 victory over Go Round FC at the Krisdera Hotel Stadium, Rivers State.

The Vandrezzer trio of Olalekan Abdulsalam, Bassey Odiong, and Saviour Isaac recorded their names on the scoresheet.
The Lions started the game impressively and were rewarded in the fourth minute when Lekan scored a wonder goal from near the center circle via a spectacular volley.

With a close-range finish from Isaac Saviour's free kick, Odiong increased our advantage to two goals in the 35th minute, giving us a cushion going into halftime.
Saviour scored the third goal for the Lions just nine minutes after the game restarted to take possession of the situation. Nevertheless, Chukwunweike cut the deficit for Go Round FC in the 86th minute to make the final score 1-3.

The head coach of Vandrezzer Niambele Adama Mohammed said he is very happy with his players after the impressive win away from home.
He said, “I am very happy, my first game and first win in the league. I am very proud of the players. It is a welcome development to start the season with a win away from home, and it gives us the confidence to kick on the league campaign.”
The Lions top the NNL Group B1 table with three points after the victory.

Ijebu United killed the happiness in Joy Cometh FC with a 2-1 result, and Sporting Lagos outsmarted Smart City FC 2-1 in their home.
Gateway United also shocked Crown FC at the Soun Stadium in Ogbomoso.
