Nigeria and Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface showed his other side during an appearance on a comedy series on YouTube.

Nigeria and Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface proved he's as quick with his words as he is on the pitch during a must-see appearance on a popular comedy YouTube series.

The 23-year-old was a guest on Bae U's 'Curiosity Made Me Ask', where the comedian host puts his guests on the spot with probing questions.

But Boniface was more than ready, delivering a series of savage comebacks that left Bae U reeling.

My charge blow before you,' Boniface quipped at one point, referencing a popular Davido lyric. And when Bae U joked about Boniface looking older than his coach, the striker hit back: 'Look at your size, how can we lift you?'

Fans were left in stitches by Boniface's quick-witted responses, with one commenting: 'First guest to deal with Baeu.' Another wrote: 'Boniface omo werey [crazy]...first man cook Bea U.'

The hilarious video has since gone viral, with Nigerians praising Boniface's comedic flair. 'I knew Boniface so well, savage no allow him score again,' one fan joked, while another quipped: 'Davido said we rise by lifting others but we can't lift you, this guy.'

It's a side of Boniface, who enjoyed a romantic getaway with his girlfriend during the holiday, seen occasionally via his tweets and posts by the public, who are more accustomed to his exploits on the pitch.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria international has been backed to regain his form following a quiet end to his debut season after a flying start to life at Leverkusen following his move from Union Saint-Gilloise, a four-month injury layoff disrupted the striker's momentum.

Leverkusen remain confident Boniface will rediscover his best form next season, with managing director Simon Rolfes acknowledging the challenges of regaining sharpness after a serious injury.

'It takes time to get back to yourself physically and mentally,' Rolfes said. 'He'll be in a much better shape at the start of the new season.'

If this YouTube appearance is anything to go by, Boniface will be ready to show his class both on and off the field in the coming campaign.
