AFC Leopards midfielder Victor Omune had double delight as he scooped two awards at the club’s end of the season gala which came with some cash prizes.
AFC Leopards midfielder Victor Omune walked away with two end of season awards at the club’s first-ever gala held in Nairobi on Wednesday.
Omune was named Player of the Season while also scooping the Players’ Player of the Season.
It was a good reward for the midfielder who was top scorer with eight goals as Ingwe finished fifth in the FKF Premier League in 2023-24.
Omune walked away with Ksh175,000 for his two awards, the Player of the Season gong attracting a Ksh100,000 cash prize, while the Players’ Player of the Season earned him an extra Ksh75,000.
Defender Kayci Odhiambo, meanwhile, was awarded the Fans’ Player of the Season, voted for by Ingwe supporters, with the award coming with a Ksh85,000 cash prize.
There were other awards that went to supporters, the Branch of the 2023-24 Season being Executive Branch that received a cash reward of Ksh50,000 with Ksh30,000 going to Kelson Amunya popularly known as Cookmonjes, who was voted Fan of the Season.

AFC Leopards coach Thomas Trucha has revealed his targets as Ingwe gears up for their season opener against Mathare United while also analysing the side's transfer window.
Ingwe had a difficult start to their season when they hovered around the relegation places for most of the first leg before they picked up momentum at the turn of the year for a fifth-place finish.
Coach Tomas Trucha is hoping to change all that and the club has already brought in four players in South Sudan national team captain Peter Maker Manyang Mabok, Julius Masaba, Sydney Lokale, and Samwel Semo to help steady the ship in 2024-25.
Ingwe will begin their season with a clash against returning Mathare United on Sunday.
