Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has received support in droves amidst his transfer scandal, including from Nigerian celebrities.
Popular reality TV star and Big Brother Naija 2019 winner, Mercy Eke, is the latest Nigerian celebrity to publicly express her unwavering support for Super Eagles striker Osimhen amidst the ongoing transfer saga surrounding his future at Napoli.
In a heartfelt social media post, Eke sent a message of encouragement to Osimhen, emphasising her belief in his abilities and talent.

Osimhen has been the subject of an intense transfer scandal this summer, with the striker's potential moves to Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia and Chelsea, both falling through.
According to reports, Chelsea offered less than Osimhen desired in wages, while Al Ahli opted to sign England forward Ivan Toney as they were frustrated by Napoli during negotiations.
Eke's message is one of many by Nigerian celebrities, including Super Eagles of Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa, who branded Osimhen as a fighter.
Osimhen prepares to face Benin and Rwanda
Despite the transfer saga, Osimhen is expected in the Super Eagles camp for September’s African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
Osimhen was absent from the opening games of the 2026 World Cup qualifying games due to injury, and his return is expected to boost the team’s chances of winning.
