The governing body that runs the major professional football competitions in Italy, Lega Serie A, has praised Victor Osimhen for helping Napoli win their first league title since 1988.
The Nigerian international notched up 26 goals in the 2022-23 campaign to emerge topscorer in the Italian topflight division.
The 24-year-old was awarded the best striker in Serie A ahead of Inter Milan's Lautauro Martinez and AC Milan’s Rafael Leao.

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
Though Osimhen missed out on the Most Valuable Player award to his Napoli teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the 24-year-old was still given recognition by the league’s governing body.
