FKFPL Vihiga Bullets coach singles out one major problem ahead Homeboyz clash

The newly-appointed gaffer has revealed his worries days after their 4-0 loss to Kenya Police.

Vihiga Bullets' Ugandan coach Louis Kizito has singled out one major thing which has impeded them in the 2022/23 Football Kenya Federation Premier League campaign.

Bullets will face Kakamega Homeboyz on Sunday at Bukhungu Stadium, looking to bag their third win of the season, and Kizito is concerned by the state of the team's backline.

"We are short in the defensive line as when we look at the players; we almost have one player per each defensive position.

"In full back, center back, left back, we only have one player each, which gives you fewer options to sour up the defence," he said.

Kizito lost his first match as Bullets coach when his charges fell to a 4-0 loss to Kenya Police FC in a mid-week game on Wednesday.

However, the former Onduparaka FC assistant coach remains positive about an improved performance against Abana Abeingo.

"In football, nothing is impossible. Yes, it will be a tough match, but my boys believe in themselves and will rise to the occasion and deliver on the day", he told the media.

Vihiga Bullet's defence has leaked as a sieve this season, having soaked in 56 goals in the 25 matches they have played so far.

Bullets find themselves at the bottom of the log with eight points -14 points below the relegation play -off spot, with only nine matches remaining to the end of the season.

A win against ninth-placed Homeboyz will increase their chances of retaining their top-flight status as they embark on the remaining matches.
