Kibera Soccer Ladies have not lost a game in their last ten league outings.

Football Kenya Federation Women’s Division One side Kibera Soccer Ladies have Thursday confirmed a friendly match against reigning Premier League champions Vihiga Queens today.

The Slum Girls have organized the match to give coach David Vijago an opportunity to gauge the players ahead of their FKF Women Cup semifinals against Kahawa Queens.

Kibera Soccer Ladies booked the last four spots after mauling army side Kahawa Queens 7-0 in the quarter-finals.

Vijago’s charges are also gunning for the top flight as they are currently on the top of the summit with 40 points with ten matches remaining to the end of the season.

“In football, anything can happen; it is a game of champions. We will take each game as a final. I want to urge my girls to take their chances so that we bag the trophy,” the coach was quoted by Citizen TV on Thursday.

Kibera Soccer Ladies will be banking on former Zetech Sparks striker Winnie Gwatenda in the friendly against Vihiga Queens.

Vihiga Queens, on their side, will be using the match as part of their preparations for the CECAFA Championships set for July in Uganda.

Queens were crowned league champions last weekend with one match remaining until the end of the season.

They are scheduled to meet Gaspo Women in their last game on Saturday, who have since declared that they will be issuing a walkover.
