JUST IN Villa to unveil Micho's right-hand man

SC Villa is set to unveil Serbian Dusan Stojanovic as their new head coach, taking over from Jackson Magera who departed the club last week following the expiry of his contract.

According to strong reports, the 37 year-old is already in the country, with a few niggles in the paperwork pending, before he gets unveiled at the helm.

It is strongly believed Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic, who is also a former coach at Villa, played a leading role in having the tactician at the club.

Micho and Stojanovic are not only country-mates but also have a working history in more than one jobs.

The pair worked together at Egypt's Zamalek, with Micho at the helm and Stojanovic as his assistant between 2019-2020.

The two continued in similar roles at the Zambian national team, the Chipolopolo between 2020 and 2021.

About Stojanovic

The UEFA A licence holder, is a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Studies from the University of Belgrade in his native, Serbia.

He has previously worked as coach at OFK Beograd (2005-2012), assistant head coach at FK Cularicki (2013-2016) and assistant head coach at FC Krasnodar in Russia between 2016-2017.

He also served as a football coach at FK Crvena Zvezda (2018-2019), assistant head coach at Zamalek (2019-2020), assistant head coach at the Zambia national team (2020-21), football coach at FK Vojvodina, with his last job at FK Rad as a deputy head coach between March 2022 to October that year.
