Harambee Stars' Harper shines in Exeter's win, while Oduor remains benched during Bradford's defeat in their respective English league matches.

Harambee Stars duo Vincent Harper and Clarke Oduor experienced contrasting fortunes during their respective teams' clashes in England on Wednesday night.

Harper was in action, playing a pivotal first half for Exeter City, contributing to their first win in six League One matches with a decisive 3-0 victory over a 10-man Shrewsbury Town.

Meanwhile, Clarke Oduor remained an unused substitute in Bradford City's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Forest Green Rovers in League Two.

Exeter City secured their much-needed win with goals from Will Aimson, Luke Harris, and Jack Aitchison, all netted before the break.

The victory was particularly sweet for Exeter, dominating the match and making their numerical advantage count against Shrewsbury, who were reduced to ten men.

Luke Harris, one of the scorers, shared his relief and excitement after breaking his goal drought.

"I thought I jinxed it when I said I was a goalscorer on signing, but I'm buzzing that the goal has finally come," Harris told the club website.

Harris's goal showcased his perseverance and the high spirits within the Exeter camp with the team looking to build on this victory.

On the other hand, Bradford City's Clarke Oduor witnessed his team's struggles from the bench as they suffered a setback in their promotion push with a 2-0 loss to Forest Green.

Christian Doidge's brace, including a spot-kick in stoppage time, handed Forest Green their fourth win in seven league games.

Bradford manager Graham Alexander, lamented the early goal conceded and the overall performance.

"It was a really bad night for us. Conceding the goal that early set us back, when we should be better from the beginning," he said in an interview with the club website.

Bradford attempted to turn the tide in the second half with the introduction of Jamie Walker, who nearly made an immediate impact, only to be denied by a fantastic save from Reyes.

However, Forest Green sealed the win with Doidge's penalty, leaving Bradford to reflect on what might have been.

Despite the mixed results, both players remain crucial to their teams' ambitions this season.

Harper's role in Exeter's triumph will boost his confidence and his team's morale as they look to climb the League One table.

Conversely, Oduor and Bradford will need to regroup and bounce back quickly to keep their promotion aspirations alive.
