The awards just keep coming for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior after a stellar 2024.
Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior wrapped up 2024 in style, winning yet another prestigious award after a stellar year with the Spanish giants.
The Real Madrid number 7 was honored with the EFE Trophy for Best Ibero-American Player for 2024.
The trophy has been awarded to the best footballers from Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries in Europe and Latin America since 1990.
The Brazilian international was presented with the award by Miguel Ángel Oliver, president of the EFE Agency, and was joined by compatriot, and former winner legend Robert Carlos.
Oliver commended the Brazilian, saying,
"Vinicius, like Roberto Carlos, who is here by your side, your individual and team achievements have already cemented your place among the greats in the club's history."
The 24-year-old, now a three-time winner of the EFE Trophy, expressed his gratitude, saying,
"I am very happy to win this award again. It reflects the season I've had, but I want to acknowledge my teammates, as none of this would be possible without them.
"They handle the toughest challenges, and I hope this isn't the last award—I aim for more accolades like this. We ended the year on a positive note, and we're entering the new one with great enthusiasm, ready to give our best."
He joins an illustrious list of Brazilian legends who have received the EFE Trophy, including Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Romário, Ronaldo Nazário, Roberto Carlos, and Casemiro.
