Real Madrid are reportedly considering selling Vinicius and have drawn up a list of possible replacements.

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing for a future without Vinicius Jr. and are said to have lined up three players as possible replacements for the Brazil international.

The 24-year-old winger is one of the superstars at the club and has been integral to two Champions League triumphs. Still, Los Blancos are said to be considering replacing him with Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres or Rafael Leao.

The details

Per transfer site Fichajes, the 15-time Champions League winners are mulling over selling Vinicius and have drawn up a list of three players as replacements.

In a move that would send Mbappe back to his favoured left-winger position, Real Madrid are eyeing Gyokeres and Osimhen, both valued at €75 million.

They are also considering AC Milan's Leao, who is more of a like-for-like replacement, as he shares Vinicius's dribbling and playmaking abilities.

Why Real Madrid consider selling Vinicius

According to Tribuna, the Spanish champions are frustrated with Vinicius’s inconsistency and on-pitch provocation.

A possible reason also is the winger's contract situation. His contract deal with the club expires in 2027, and he is already in negotiations for fresh terms.

However, the club has not been able to make headway in negotiations, as Vinicius, currently on a reported £17 million per annum deal, is referencing Mbappe's £25 million in his demands.

Los Merengues are said to be wary, as giving to Vinicius's asks could balloon their wage bill, as that would mean the likes of Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and even Mbappe could ask for more during renewal.
