Vipers Sports Club have officially confirmed their partnership with Wakiso Hills Women's Football Club.
The StarTimes Uganda Premier League title holders, also representatives in the Total Confederation of African Football Champions League, were required by the continental body to own or be associated with a women's team to participate in the continental engagements.
The new requirement is effective next season for all clubs participating in the men's prestigious continental competitions.
"Wakiso Hills shall be Vipers' official women's team in all its Fufa, Caf and Fifa engagements," Vipers SC confirmed on their club website on June 23.
"The respective clubs shall maintain their own intellectual property rights and brand images but corroborate in areas of technical development, club infrastructure and marketing," the statement added.
The partnership means the Wakiso Hills Women FC shall have access to Vipers' St Mary's Stadium as their home ground, technical support, training facilities and marketing to boost their growth.
Wakiso Hills were second in the Women's Elite League, thus earning promotion to the top-flight Fufa Women's Super League next season.
KCCA FC, competing in the CAF Confederation Cup next season, announced a similar partnership with Kampala Queens.
