Ahmed Musa's historical moment with the Super Eagles
Musa became the first Nigerian to score more than once in a FIFA World Cup match, after scoring twice against Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
He is also the first Nigerian to score in two FIFA World Cup competitions, after scoring another brace against Iceland in the group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
After making 108 appearances, Ahmed Musa rose to become Nigeria's most-capped player since November 2021.

"Recently, I had the honor of visiting the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Mangu & Bokkos LGAs with delegates from the government. We spent time encouraging the people affected (both Muslims and Christians) and assured them of their safe return to their homes soon.

"To my fellow colleagues, can I use this opportunity to implore us to use this holiday period to visit our local communities and engage with the youths.
"Many of them feel like they don't have any hope for the future and are almost on the verge of giving up, but by interacting with them as role models, sharing our life experiences, etc, we can inspire them not to give up and show them that they can achieve their goals in life. Our presence and encouragement can make a significant difference," Ahmed Musa said on X (formerly Twitter).
Musa made his Super Eagles debut in August 2010 as a 17-year-old, replacing Mikel John Obi in a qualification match for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations against Madagascar in a 2-0 win.
