After a demanding spell in 2022, Ronaldo seems to have moved to a place where he is overly celebrated, a stark contrast to his fall-out with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, whom he openly stated he had no respect for while at the club.
The 37-year-old joined Al Nassr and has become an instant sensation for the club, fans and the country rallying behind him.
He was unveiled to a sold-out stadium after officially signing the deal worth around €200 million.
He was also quick to rubbish claims that he was in the Arab nation for retirement, noting that he wanted to break some records in Asia.
"I am a unique player, so it's good to come here," Ronaldo said.
"I beat the records there in Europe, so I want to beat a few records here as well, so for me, it is a good chance."
"So, for me, it is not the end of my career to come to Saudi Arabia. And honestly, I do not worry about what people say.
"I took my decision, and I have a responsibility to change that, but I'm really happy to be here. And I know the league is very competitive. The people don't know that, but I know because I have seen many games."
After the promises and fanfare, Ronaldo took part in the first Al-Nassr training session on Tuesday evening and was a spectacle for the fans cheering his every move, kick and goal. He is slated to make his debut on Thursday.
