Barcelona’s on-loan Moroccan youngster Abde Ezzalzouli has jeopardised his chances of playing in the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid after getting sent off two minutes after being brought on in Osasuna’s LaLiga game against Cadiz.
Abde loses control in Osasuna match against Cadiz
Although Osasuna beat Cadiz 1-0 away from home, the game was still besmirched by Abde’s sending-off after the 21-year-old appeared to kick a Cadiz player off the ball just two minutes after entering the pitch.
Abde appeared to kick out at a Cadiz player and after the incident was reviewed, the Moroccan was given his marching orders by referee Carlos Del Cerro Grande.
The Moroccan international had been in good form for Osasuna before the incident and scored the goal which took them to the Copa del Rey final, but may now miss the fixture against Real Madrid depending on the severity of the punishment he gets following the straight red card.
Abde risks Copa del Rey final suspension
With Real Sociedad set to face Real Sociedad and Barcelona before the final in two weeks, anything more than a two-game suspension means that Abde will not be able to play for Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final which will be a huge blow to both Osasuna and Abde.
The Moroccan winger has already caught the eye of Barcelona manager Xavi, who said he could have an important future at the club if he built on his impressive performances with Osasuna, but now, even that promise might be at risk following the recent incident.
