A new African footballing sensation has been unearthed in Ogun State, Nigeria, after a video emerged of a Nigerian youngster Adejare Adedapo on social media.

Adedapo has left Nigerians purring for more as they alerted Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal over a player likened to legends John Mikel Obi and Thomas Partey.

The 19-year-old has caught the eye after his displays in the video making the round on social media platform, X.com, formerly Twitter. 

Discovered on the dusty backstreets of Nigeria, the defensive midfielder has earned comparisons with former Chelsea and Nigerian star, Mikel Obi and Arsenal’s current anchorman Thomas Partey.

Calls from his compatriots and football lovers followed as they watched highlights where the young defensive, who is in Ogun State and plays for Wesco FA per another post on X.com, displayed his mastery as a holding midfielder.

His flair and composure on the ball at such a young age has wowed Nigerian football experts, who believe he could follow in the footsteps of the two African Premier League icons.

Footage shared by Nigerian football lover SantiTM has racked up over 1.4 million views, with fans stunned by Adedapo's close control, press resistance, and reading of the game.

“You guys I was scrolling g through TikTok and I found a Partey profile in the grassroots of Nigerian football,” Santi stated before sharing the video of the youngster. “Never seen anything so obvious,” he added.
