Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu scores a Puskas contender of goal to win the game for Trabzonspor against Konyaspor.
Nigerian strikers continue to make waves in European football, and most recently, it was the lanky Paul Onuachu who became the source of immense pride.
The 29-year-old striker has seemingly overturned his fortune after failing to settle at Southampton, as he has returned to his goalscoring form on loan at Trabzonspor.

Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu scores as Trabzonspor ends Fenerbahce's 21-game winning streak
Trabzonspor beat Fenerbahce 3-2 in the Turkish Super Lig to end their 21-game winning streak and Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu contributed a goal
He is currently on six goals in eight games for the Bordo Mavililer, and his latest, the winner in Trabzonspor’s triumph over Konyaspor, will not be forgotten anytime soon.
What happened
Onuachu opted for a loan to the Turkiye Super Lig rather than slumming it in the Championship with the Saints, and his insistence on top-flight football is evidently playing out excellently.
The move has seen Onuachu return to the top of the thoughts of Nigerians amid the variety of green-white-green-bleeding goalscorers to monitor, and his latest attempt alerted not just his keen followers but the footballing world at large.
Onuachu’s stunner
The former Genk man opened the scoring for his club in the 59th minute of the game, but Transzonspor let the lead slip, conceding a 77th-minute equaliser from Konyaspor’s Louka Prip to the disappointment of the home crowd at the Akyazi Stadium.
Onuachu ensured his side had the last laugh, however, scoring in the 85th minute to ensure the hosts shot into the top three of the Turkish top flight.
Even untethered from the consequence of the strike and the importance of the outcome, the goal was special, as its incredibility would have remained unblemished were it the consolatory strike in a 10-1 throbbing.
Onuachu’s stunner was a scorpion kick, one arguably more impressive than Olivier Giroud’s 2017 Puskas winner, given the speed of the delivery, the proximity of defenders, and the sharpness of the sting.
