However, the best was yet to come for the Gala fans, as Osimhen provided former Napoli teammate Dries Mertens with a lovely assist to double the lead.
Yunus Akgün put a cross into the Fenerbahce box, and it found the Super Eagles attacker, who had a great presence of mind to spot Mertens in a crowded area, finding him with a one-time pass to his teammate with his chest.
