FKFPL ‘Watu wa jeshi na D maina hawaezi elewa’ - Kenya Police taunt Ulinzi Stars ahead of league clash

The Law Enforcers and the soldiers are already going at each other long before Friday’s FKFPL contest.

Kenya Police FC and Ulinzi Stars have started throwing salvos at each other ahead of Friday’s Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) meeting between the two sides from the disciplined forces.

Ulinzi host Police at Nyayo Stadium seeking a return to winning ways after their elimination from the FKF Cup semi-final by Tusker FC last weekend and have not also been doing well in the league, after going two matches without a win.

Their poor form has seen them stuck in midtable, occupying eighth position on 44 points, while Police are 16 points ahead in fourth place. It is perhaps on this background that the Law Enforcers feel they have an upper hand over the Soldiers and have started drawing daggers even before the contest begins.

“Let’s talk in coded language DCI style. Watu wa jeshi na D maina yao hawaezi elewa hii,” Police posted on Twitter. “U = 2 × P if P is 4 what is U? Tupatane Nyayo National stadium 26th May 2023 at 3.00 pm tuiongeze hii goal difference yao ya 1 to -2.”

However, Ulinzi did not take the bait lying down, they responded in kind, terming the Police a ‘little brother’ that they will beat easily despite their expensively assembled squad.

“We take on the little Brother's POLICE FC in our next match of the #FKFPL. Hapa nayo haijawahi kuwa shida hata wakisign Mckenzie,” Ulinzi posted on Twitter.

Ulinzi have been distracted in the last few days following news that coach Bernard Mwalala was set to leave the club after last weekend’s meeting with Tusker but the club has since ‘clarified’ that the former Bandari and Nzoia Sugar tactician is going nowhere.

Police are one of the form teams in the league, having lost just one of their last seven games, and also possess the division’s best attack and defense, after scoring 47 while letting in 17.
