Sean Dyche praises his team mentality after coming back to draw against Tottenham.

Everton's manager Sean Dyche was full of praise for his team's mentality as they fought back to earn a draw against Tottenham despite playing a man short for nearly two-thirds of the game.

The Toffees found a late equaliser at Goodison Park to draw 0-0 against Tottenham in their Premier League clash.

The first-half of the game was end-to-end, with neither team exerting enough pressure to disadvantage the other. In the 58th minute, Abdoulaye Doucoure received the game's first red card for pushing his hands into Harry Kane's face.

Spurs benefited from this, and in the 68th minute, Kane scored from the penalty spot to give Tottenham the lead.

Spurs suffered their own numerical disadvantage as Lucas Moura was dismissed in the 88th minute for a leg-breaker. With the help of a Michael Keane goal, Everton capitalised on the situation and equalised in the last seconds.

What Sean Dyche said

Dyche, who took over at a difficult time for Everton, replacing Frank Lampard, has lifted Everton up to 15th on the log, and he says the mentality of the team is growing.

He says that he has been working on the team's work ethic and their belief in themselves, and as was evident today, according to him, the improvement is already visible.

However, Dyche believes there's still work to do, but says he's confident that they are on the right trajectory.

"I just know the mentality is growing, that's what I'm looking to do, to continue that,” he said, per the BBC.

“The work ethic of the players and the belief in what we're trying to achieve was on show. I thought the attitude was outstanding.

"A lot of work still to be done but there's clear signs we're willing to take on the challenge. I'm confident we're growing and improving."

Everton travel to Old Trafford next weekend to face Manchester United in their next Premier League match.
