Why we lost 2-0 to Ipswich — Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca opens up
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has explained his side's shock 2-0 defeat to Ipswich Town on Monday night.
Despite some impressive wins earlier in the season, Maresca has consistently played down the title chances of his expensively assembled squad. He attributed the recent dip in form to the inherent nature of football.
"We expected this kind of moment during the season because we know that this kind of moment belongs to football. It is almost impossible to have a season where you do not have a moment like now for us," he explained.
Chelsea's next game will be away to Crystal Palace on Saturday, January 4th.
