Osimhen's injury

As Pulse Sports reported, Osimhen suffered another injury and is expected to miss at least three games for Galatasaray

The 25-year-old has been excellent for the Cim-Bom this season, with 10 goals and five assists in all competitions. However, he could have had even more, but for injuries that have limited him to only 13 games.

The Lagos-born striker was among the goals when Galatasaray beat Sivasspor to maintain their healthy lead at the top of the Super Lig standings.

However, he had to be substituted in the 74th minute due to injury. He has since undergone tests, and now Galatasaray can confirm that he is injured and currently ruled out of action.

The Cim-Bom came out of the match reeling from more than one injury situation. Winger Baris Yilmaz had to be helped off the pitch after suffering an injury following a nasty tackle.

What Buruk said

Speaking in the press conference ahead of the Europa League clash against Malmo, the Turkish tactician confirmed that Osimhen is projected to miss up to two weeks of action.

This effectively rules him out of the Europa League clash against the Swedish opposition, as well as the Super Lig matches against Kayserispor and Trabzonspor.

"There seems to be a 2-week period for Osimhen. We are missing a lot; we want our players to return as soon as possible,” Yilmaz said.

Concerning Yilmaz, Buruk expressed more frustration, as the injury came due to a reckless challenge that he believes the not receive the appropriate punishment.

"There are a lot of injuries. First of all, the fact that his foot was directly stepped on was one of the things that upset us all. The fact that the referee did not go to VAR and give a red card brought this incident to the fore.”
