Chelsea's spirited display
As Pulse Sports reported, Chelsea clawed back from two goals down against Tottenham to move two points clear of the Lilywhites' sworn rivals, Arsenal and occupy second place in the Premier League log.
Spurs, capitalising on Marc Cucurella's mistakes, raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski.
However, the Blues roused themselves and thanks to Jason Sancho, Cole Palmer, and Enzo Fernandez, they scored four before Son returned one for the hosts.
What Maresca said
Despite the victory, Maresca was left displeased by some of his team's showing, especially the binders from the Spanish left-back Cucurella.
That, according to Maresca, was evidence that he still had some kinks to work out before the team is ready to compete for big trophies.
“Arsenal, City and Liverpool probably don't slide… like Marc Cucurella did,” Maresca told SkySports, per Fabrizio Romano. “To be serious, we are not ready, we are far from these teams. We focus on day-by-day and trying to improve the team.”
