The Brazilian came back to haunt his former club as pressure mounts on Graham Potter.
Willian has praised Fulham's win over Chelsea, saying the Cottagers deserved every bit of their victory over Marco Silva's men.
Fulham moved up to sixth on the Premier League table following a 2-1 win over Chelsea at Craven Cottage on Thursday night.
Fulham move up the ladder
Willian put Fulham ahead in 25th minute before Kalidou Koulibaly restored parity for Chelsea following the break. However, Fulham would not be denied the three points after Carlos Vinicius scored the all-important goal in the 73rd minute.
It was Fulham's fourth consecutive win in the league this season, taking them up to sixth. Following the match, Willian was full of praise for the team, saying it was a deserved victory for them.
"We deserved the win. We know how difficult it is to play against Chelsea. They are in a difficult moment but we are a really good team. We deserved it and we have to carry on, Willian said as per BBC.
Willian spent seven years at Chelsea but insisted he had a job to do against them, even though he had fond memories of his time at the club.
"I had an amazing seven years at Chelsea. I have a big respect for the fans and the club. I play for Fulham now and have to do my best. It was a special night," Willian added.
Joe Cole says Fulham can make Europe
Meanwhile, former Chelsea star, Joe Cole believes Fulham could go on to qualify for Europe this season if they keep up the momentum.
Marco Silva's men are now sixth on the table with 31 points, two behind Tottenham Hotspur, who have a game in hand. Although Cole urged Fulham to concentrate on securing their Premir League status first, he believes they can go on to do something greater this season.
"This Fulham team, like most teams, would have been thinking 40 points and getting there as soon as they can. They won't believe the situation they are in," Cole said.
"They can start to think about Europe once they get to 40 points," the former Liverpool star added.
Fulham will hope to carry the momentum into their next game- a trip to St James' Park to face Newcastle.
