Kompany's Bayern Munich lost heavily to Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek.

"There are games where it is clear what happened. But that was a game with a lot of moments and not everything went wrong," he said.

Kompany also defended his team's defensive performance, stating that the blame shouldn't be solely placed on the defenders.

"We conceded four goals. But I would not just talk about that (defence). It's too easy. The responsibility lies with the entire team," he explained.

Bayern Munich currently sit at the top of the Bundesliga table, but the heavy defeat to Barcelona has raised questions about their ability to compete at the highest level in Europe.

However, Kompany remains confident in his team's ability to bounce back and achieve success.

"We have the quality and players. I understand we lost and we have to accept the criticism. But I do not want to lose sight of what the boys can achieve if they take the next steps," he said.

The Belgian manager is focused on improving the team's performance and ensuring that they learn from their mistakes.

He believes that the team has the potential to achieve great things, and he is determined to help them reach their full potential.
