Our target is Super Six - Okon

Okon said his team can't afford to lose any points in Abuja, and the players who will be on the field have been instructed to score every point for the squad.

The former Super Falcons coach, stated this immediately after the team’s training session inside the Old Parade Ground.

He added that his team was not in any way undervaluing the Naija Ratels; I am aware that the players want to become well-known, so we won't be taking them for granted.

Rivers Angels have drawn four of their seven games so far this season.

“Football is not like mathematics, anything can happen and you don’t write off a team because of one bad season. Rivers Angels have achieved a lot in women’s football and shouldn’t be written off.

“The Super 6 is still open, and that is the reason why we are here today. Anything can happen in the game and I’m solely here for three points. The players are equally aware of this. They must pick the maximum result required for the team.

“We are not underrating Naija Ratels in any way, I know the players would want to make a name for themselves so we won’t be taking them for granted."

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Falconet (U-17 female team) captain, Alvin Dah-Zossu, said the match is similar to a cup final for her team and that they will give it their all to defeat the Naija Ratels.

“The match is like a final to us because it can guarantee our qualification for the Super 6, so we have to give in our best in that game.

“Ratels are currently ahead of us with one point and they also need the match as much as we do but we are going to put in extra effort in order to win the game tomorrow.
