Despite an early setback courtesy of Jordan Ayew's sixth-minute goal for Leicester, Liverpool responded emphatically.
Goals from Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones, and Salah himself secured the three points at Anfield.
Liverpool have been in similar leading positions before, most notably in the 2018-19 season when they ultimately lost out to Manchester City.
What Salah said
"It feels different, but the important thing is we need to stay humble," Salah, the league's top scorer with 16 goals, told Amazon Prime.
He highlighted previous instances where injuries hampered their title charge, "We had a few injuries when we were ahead (previously) and we lose it in the end. Hopefully we carry on like that with no injuries and we go on and win it."
The Egyptian forward revealed the importance of securing the Premier League title for the club. "This one is very special. Hopefully we win the Premier League for this club - it's something I dream of," he stated.
Liverpool will travel to London Stadium on Sunday for a clash against West Ham United.
