The newbies are winless in their last three matches, but the coach is optimistic the team will return to winning ways in the upcoming fixtures
Lack of maximum concentration is part of the reason why newbies Mara Sugar are winless in their last three matches according to coach George Midenyo.
Mara Sugar began the season very well, but performances have tailed off lately. On November 27, Mara who are second on the log with 16 points from 10 matches, lost their second match of the season against Tusker FC and failed to capitalise on KCB's 1-1 draw against Kenya Police to close the gap at the top.

Boniface Ambani spills beans on the tensions that ended his Mara Sugar tenure
Boniface Ambani has revealed internal wrangles and "quacks" as the reasons behind his sudden exit from Mara Sugar FC.
Although Midenyo downplayed the team's worrying form, he said his charges need to be alert for the entire match to avoid last-minute heartbreaks. “We showed some laxity across the board. I can’t single out a specific department, but we’ve been lacking in several areas,” Midenyo told Citizen Digital.
“It’s a mental adjustment coming from the lower division, where matches typically heat up after 10 to 15 minutes. This is a baptism of fire in the Kenyan Premier League,” he added.

Tusker duo Shapan Oyugi and Ryan Ogam revel in match-winning contributions against Mara Sugar
Oyugi and Ogam were on target for Tusker as they cruised to a 2-1 win over surprise package Mara Sugar last Sunday.
The Narok County-based side have their work cut out when they face a fired-up Gor Mahia side coming on the back of a 2-0 deserved win against Kakamega Homeboyz on November 27 this weekend.
The win saw K'Ogalo return to winning ways after parting ways with Brazilian coach Leonardo Neiva but Midenyo wants his charges to win the pivotal match at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay County.
“The packed fixture schedule has been tough on the boys, especially as newcomers. Facing Gor Mahia will be a real test. The league’s dynamics often hinge on key match outcomes, and this one is pivotal.”
