Reflecting on recent late concessions that have cost United valuable points, Ten Hag said, as reported by BBC, "We have to step up and make better decisions.
"We can play to a very high standard. We can compete with the best and beat the best in the Premier League. When you can do that, you can also do it across Europe," asserted Ten Hag, emphasizing the need for his team to close out big games successfully.
With their hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League hanging by a thread, Ten Hag stressed the importance of learning from recent setbacks and delivering in crucial moments.
"We need to learn how to bring big games over the line," he declared, acknowledging the significance of upcoming fixtures in determining their European fate.
Despite recent disappointments, Ten Hag remains optimistic and called on his players to use their frustration to fuel a positive response against Liverpool.
"We have to recover very quick. We have to turn this around. We will be in a positive mood and we will be looking forward," he stated. "We have to take energy but we will be mad, angry. From anger you can take a lot of energy and that is how we have to do it."
