The Premier League champions suffered a heavy 4-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, to record their fifth consecutive loss.

Tottenham took the lead with James Maddison's cushioned volley in the 13th minute, exposing City's defensive vulnerabilities.

Maddison quickly scored a second, leaving the home fans stunned and fearing a fifth consecutive defeat.

Pedro Porro added a third goal an hour in, putting City in a tough position. Despite a late push, Guardiola's team couldn't find the net, with Premier League top scorer Erling Haaland visibly frustrated. Spurs compounded City's woes by scoring a fourth in stoppage time.

Walker confirmed the importance of the Champions League match against Feyenoord and that it is an opportunity for the team to regain their momentum.

“We’ll keep fighting until the end like we always do. The best way to turn this around is on Tuesday. We’ll come out and try and get three points. Hopefully the mojo comes back and we see the normal City we’ve seen for the last eight seasons,” he told Man City website.

Man City will face Feyenoord during the midweek and then travel to Anfield to play Liverpool in the League.
